Community Information
Narberth, PA
Narberth is one of the first neighborhoods along the
Main Line as you head west from Center City. Narberth
is one of a series of affluent communities developed
along the PA Railroad's first commuter train line in
the 1800s.
Narberth is only one square mile and
is very desirable for its small town feel. Narberth has
a traditional Main Street which features numerous restaurants,
bars, shops and a movie theater. Narberth also has an
excellent park and a Narberth library card can be used
through the Lower Merion library system, recently ranked
the 7th in the nation. Best yet, it’s an easy walk
to any point in Narberth, so it’s great for pedestrian-oriented
residents who want to live in the suburbs.
Narberth is only a short distance from Bryn
Mawr College, Villanova
University, Rosemont
College and St.
Joseph's University. The Main Line's numerous cultural
resources include the Barnes Foundation, which houses
what The Philadelphia Inquirer calls "one
of the world's most spectacular collections of Impressionist
art."
Narberth is approximately a 20 minute drive to Center
City, Philadelphia, and the commute via Septa’s
R-5 Paoli - Thorndale Regional Rail train to and from
Center City Philadelphia (Suburban Station) is about
20 minutes.
